Crazy Got Me Here: My Crazy, Untraditional Journey to Hollywood

is exactly what it sounds like: my very real, very insane journey navigating Hollywood.

People have called me crazy my whole life for being too determined, too bold, too willing to bet on myself. But I’ve always believed you need a little bit of crazy to chase a dream that big. They called me crazy when I followed a Hollywood producer into a Walmart in 2020, but a few months later, I landed my dream internship. They called me crazy when I booked a one-way ticket to Los Angeles with no job offer and just $2,000 to my name, but within 30 days of landing, I was hired as a Writers’ PA on a new series, shadowing two of the biggest Black names in Hollywood.

I’ve been called crazy more times than I can count, and somehow, every time, that “crazy” paid off. Because success doesn’t come from playing it safe, it comes from taking risks when nothing is guaranteed.

This book is filled with blessings and just as many lessons. I’m writing from the perspective of someone who is still figuring it out, still grinding, still chasing every wild dream they have. It’s the blood, sweat, tears, setbacks, and small wins in between. And if my story encourages even one person to have faith in themselves, then every crazy moment was worth it.
